Similar to the Software as a Service (SaaS) model, the managed infrastructure approach is one in which a TGI customer can utilize Enterprise 21 without implementing and managing its own infrastructure. In the case of managed infrastructure, an organization would acquire Enterprise 21 software licenses similar to a traditional software acquisition model; however, the client would have its infrastructure and associated services delivered via a third-party firm. The managed infrastructure model is used when a company does not want to implement and manage its own infrastructure. This would generally occur when a company is migrating from an older technology base to a newer one, or with a company in which there is little or no internal IT staff. |
