Enterprise 21 ERP Software: Ease of Use for Everyday Users
Throughout the development of Enterprise 21, emphasis was placed on providing complete functionality that is both technologically superior and easy to use. The ERP software system is menu driven to make it easy for users to become acquainted with its functions. Once it is installed, commonly used functions can be grouped into logical menus by function within the organization.
Enterprise 21 entry screens use a "Lotus-like" menu bar in character mode and point-and-click icons in GUI mode to provide users with a familiar, highly functional user interface.
Within each entry screen, a user can:
- Perform inquiries into the database to select a record or several records
- Add or update records
- Browse multiple records, page forward or backward through records
- Look at supporting information on a record
- Execute screen-specific functions
- Execute screen-specific or function-specific help files for “how to processing instructions” in text or video presentation
- Move or hide columns
- Sort detail level data
- Add a personalized favorite or shortcut
- Access screen-specific hot buttons for quick access to key processes
Users are also prompted regarding the availability of "zoom" screens to assist in the entry of valid information into a field. Zoom screens allow the user to make use of windows to look up ID's, codes, and other valid entries for a specific field. In addition, users may hot-key to field level help windows which may be edited to fit the unique needs of each organization.
